The Clink Room is one of the leaders in custom limited-edition caps. Founded by sports design firm Brandiose, Clink Room partners with designers to release unique caps that are only released in a certain colorway one time. My first project with Clink Room was a pair of hats that explored the depths of space and sea. Apollos features an astronaut helmet being orbited by a ringed planet. A bright color scheme with violets, blues, and pinks on a violet cap showed just how bright and colorful space can be. It’s counterpart, Argos, used a vintage-style diving helmet reflecting the colorful waters of the deep. The original Apollos cap was so popular that it got two re-releases: a black hat with a different color scheme on the logo, and an “X-Ray” version designed in collaboration with Brandiose to imagine the astronaut as an alien, and completed with glow in the dark thread.
